A Successful Golf Tournament at Blue Monster

On Saturday, February 4th, 2017 American Law Firm Funding teamed up with The Nations Law Firm to welcome 60 mass tort lawyers and their guests who were in town for The 2017 National Trial Lawyers Summit to play the prestigious Trump National Doral Miami Golf Club.

A best ball scramble tournament included 15 teams competing for prizes and bragging rights on one of the toughest courses in the U.S. that has deservedly earned the title “Blue Monster”. Over the years this famous and prestigious course has been challenged by some of the best professional golfers in the world. However, it has never seen the talent displayed by our fellow IVC, Xeralto, NFL, Hernia Mesh and Risperdal Mass Tort Trial Lawyers and vendors who tested the eight-daunting water hazards the size of small lakes plus numerous strategically placed bunkers.

Two teams tied for first place with a score of 66, Team Robins Cloud led by Greg Taylor, Sadler Bailey and Jeff Huff and Team Sentinel led by Reno Renaldo, Adam Warren, Todd Franklin and their pro Randy Nordstrom who conquered the field like they conquer mass tort pharmaceutical defendants each posting an incredible overall team score of 6 under par.

The short par 3 one hundred twenty-five yard 15th hole featured a “closest to the pin” contest that challenged our athletic group of mass tort lawyers to clear the peninsula and safely land on the ample but sand trap guarded green. The closest shot being executed like a BP Oil Plaintiff Summary Judgment was by Greg Taylor from the Houston law firm of Robins Cloud who earned bragging rights and a cash prize by hitting an amazing 9 iron shot to within 2 feet 10” from the cup. The next closest was Randy Nordstrom of Focus DMG.

Howard Nations of course gave yet another amazing speech during the awards ceremony at this Trump venue. And a great time followed while Jeff Huff of American Law Firm Funding appropriately handed out “the cash” prizes.

The “Blue Monster” is the latest, but not last, in a line of bucket list courses chosen over the years by the American Law Firm Funding team for our mass tort trial lawyer friends providing truly memorable golf experiences and perfect settings for all to network and exchange ideas with some of the best folks and industry vendors as well as iconic mass tort trial lawyers in the country. Previous American Law Firm Funding events were held in 2012 at the TPC of Scottsdale and in 2015 at the PGA West Stadium course.

Stay tuned… plans are already being made for more exciting and selective bucket list golf venues at future conferences.
